Although summer is nearing its end, hopefully you might be able to squeeze in a few more afternoons in the pool. So why not multitask and get some exercise?
A few months ago, we published two posts and videos that feature synchronized swimming exercises: how to exercise like a synchronized swimmer and how to do an egg beater kick.
In part three, Robin Weist, coach of the YWCA York Synchro-ettes, explains how figures work your core and arm muscles, while improving your breath control. She also has a swimmer demonstrate a barracuda, a ballet leg into a back-split position and walkover, and a front walkover.
And if you aren’t able to fit in a few more outdoor swims this summer, just take these exercises indoors.
